Wedding Checklist
Timeline:
There's no such thing as having too much time for planning when it comes to custom wedding attire and accessories; the more time you allot, the more fun (and less stress) you'll have.
1. Schedule first appointment for getting a Custom Suit or Tux (12-16 weeks out minimum; 6 months+ is ideal)
- Of course, that's where we start! We make the best custom suits and provide the best experience in Portland (if not the whole west coast); but because we have a highly skilled in-house tailoring team with a wide array of design and couture experience, we also do more than suits. Matching velvet smoking jackets? Wedding cosplay? We're here for that too.
2. Custom Shoes, Shirts, Accessories (8+ weeks out; more is better)
- We are proud to make the highest quality custom shirts, ties, bowties, pocket squares, shoes, and more. We have our own special small-batch silks woven in England just for us, and we can also source materials from all over the world. And when we say "custom," we don't just mean you get to choose the fabric; we'll happily make a longer tie for that 6'4" groomsman, a special bow tie with the perfect dimensions for dad, or even a hand-sewn silk scarf in your tie fabric to surprise mom.
3. Ready-to-wear accessories and gifts (4+ weeks out)
At any given time, we have a small stock of the highest quality:
- Silks (ties, bow ties, suspenders, pocket squares)
- Metal Goods (cufflinks & rings)
- Leather Goods (duffle bags, backpacks, wallets)
- Glassware for groomsmen gifts
- Sunglasses
All of these make for excellent gifts for the wedding party, family, and friends. Next-level planning is even coordinating accents like ties throughout the wedding party and key family/guests.
4. Final fit check (2 weeks out)
- At this point any refinements to the look should all be taken care of, but it's best practice to give it a once-over with enough time for last minute considerations.
